Today, we took Jake out bright and early for some bird work, giving him the opportunity to hone his skills on quail from the recall pen. Despite it being only his second time encountering birds, Jake impressed us by freezing up perfectly as the quail flushed out of sight. Witnessing his natural instincts at play reaffirms the effectiveness of using quail with a recall pen as a valuable tool in dog training.
